There is more to a tire's value than its initial purchase price. To determine a true cost per mile, it's important to consider factors such as tire life and rolling resistance.
Rolling resistance accounts for up to 20% of a car's fuel consumption—and the figures are even higher for trucks. Although the Michelin green tire is generally more expensive to purchase, the corresponding fuel savings outweigh the initial additional investment.
